Whether you are a foreigner or a Lebanese living abroad, Global Blue’s Tax Free Shopping service saves you up to 8% provided that you spend over 150,000LBP per shop and per day (VAT included) and your stay does not exceed 3 months. The final refund you will receive will consist of the VAT total, minus an administration fee.

To claim the VAT back when you bring your items home, please follow these steps:

Get it
Shop wherever you see the Global Refund Tax Free shopping logo.
Remember to ask the shop staff for a Tax Refund Cheque along with the shop receipt.

Stamp it
When you’re leaving the country, take your purchases, receipt and passport to the customs desk to get your Tax Refund Cheque stamped.
If you are exiting Lebanon through the Masnaa’, Arida or Abboudieh borders please present in addition to the above, a photocopy of your passport showing arrival & departure dates.

Cash it
Show your stamped Tax Refund Cheque, credit card and passport to the staff at Global Blue Customer Services and they’ll issue your refund immediately. You can either get the refund put back on your card, or you can collect it in cash.
Collect your refund cash up to 1,500,000 LBP at Beirut Rafic Hariri International Airport and 150,000 LBP at Masnaa Land Border.
